My life is a blessing, complete with a caring husband, three beautiful kids and a lovely home. It’s no wonder then that I do not like to leave the sanctity of my home and work outside. However, times are tough and two earning members are better than one. Thus, I have recently decided that I will start my own home business.
I am a very domestic person and my interest has always been the kitchen, so I thought why not do what I love, and love what I do? I have done all my homework and planned out things in detail.
My main area of expertise is baking and thus I have decided to cater to parties, offices and other such events. The house that I live in was designed by my husband and thus, I am a lucky woman with a huge kitchen.
My menu is simple yet, tasteful. It consists of an assortment of delicacies like crumpets, muffins, scorns, puff pastries, all sorts of cakes, mince pies and tarts.
I have arranged for advertisements in local women magazines, flyers and display signs in the local grocery stores.
Orders will need to be placed twenty four hours prior and the delivery will be my responsibility.
The best part about working from home is that I will not have to leave my kids on the mercy of baby sitters and neither will I have to endure the commute. Another great plus is the low level investment. I will be using my own kitchen, transport and other facilities like fax, phone and email.
On the other hand, working from home requires great time management skills that I will need to master. Also, the risk of loss is always there in a self owned home business. However, that is a risk I am willing to take because I have a lot of faith in God and my own abilities.
