I was tired of not being able to make my own decisions. I was tired of being held responsible for someone else’s decisions. Then, in April 2001, it happened. I was placed in that second most stressful position of life:

I was sitting in an old barracks at Osan Air Base, South Korea when I read one of the most influential “paradigm-shifting” books of my life: Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki.

His best-selling series of book literally shattered many financial myths I had believed in. But, he introduced me to exactly what I was looking for: Personal Freedom and Financial Independence. I wanted to be my own boss – to make my own decisions. I wanted to have money work for me instead of me working for money. And I wanted to help others do the same. The path to accomplishing all of these was a Legitimate Home Based Business.

If I needed surgery, I would automatically seek out a specialist. I knew that I had to do the same for my home business research. The right surgeon can save my life. The right home business advisor can save my financial life.

So I went to the book store. Then to another book store. I wanted to find specific, detailed information on what this home business thing was all about. When I couldn’t find what I was looking for, I went online. It was crazy – the hype, suspicious claims, and quite frankly - the crap – was down-right ridiculous. By interviewing enough home business owners and company representatives, I did find enough who were experts in the very narrow area of LEGITIMATE home business opportunities, to give direction to my investigation. Along the way I discovered that there really are home business owners (most of them part time), and they really are making a legitimate monthly income.

I took about 6 months to thoroughly research every aspect of starting a home business, followed by a three month effort to find the best opportunities in each of the Four Major Home Business Categories.
